Gil Sternbach, CEO of Leverage Corporate Strategy and President of the Parkland Coral Springs Business Group, has been appointed by the City Commission to the Coral Springs Economic Development Advisory Committee (EDAC).

Sternbach had previously served in a similar capacity on the City’s Economic Development Foundation, before it was reconstituted and repositioned as EDAC.  The advisory committee provides expertise, support and strategic recommendations to the City Commission and the Economic Development Office regarding economic development initiatives in the City as well as the economic development plan.  To that end, EDAC participates in the City’s efforts to attract new businesses to Coral Springs and facilitate growth and expansion of existing businesses already operating within the city.

EDAC consists of nine members, who are appointed to assigned seats based on their respective professional credentials and expertise in specified industries.  Due to his roles as Chief Information Officer of Morlin Group and Chief Financial Officer of IC Realtime, Sternbach was appointed to seat #8, which is focused on emerging technology.  He will serve a 3-year term.

Sternbach’s consulting firm, Leverage Corporate Strategy, provides advisory services to companies, corporate executives and investors in strategic and financial decisions affecting their domestic as well as international businesses.  “Geographic location, proximity to resources, local infrastructure, facility design, and accessibility to an employment pool are all critical elements affecting the success of most businesses”, Sternbach said.  Therefore, “I believe that my relevant background and diverse experience in multiple industries will help me become an effective member of EDAC.  I also look forward to making a valuable contribution to the economic vitality of the City.”
